Eve of Chinese New Year...

Dunno whether would you classify as Lunar of Chinese New Year what-so-ever... but basically, it's a day whereby all the family members (It doesn't matter whether it is the nucleus family or extended) will all come home to have one meal together which is dinner before the arrival of Chinese New Year... Well, basically spend my time going round KL shopping and admiring the deco in shopping complexes and found a few thing which I find kinda funny to be shared...

Although our faces occupies half of these picture... please admire the deco instead or maybe the gurl's back... =p

How I wished I could just go back into alimentary school and colour my way to a degree... Now, in med school... you try to pull something like this most probably you'll FLUNK!!!!

We had 11 family members that night... here's the food that was prepared by mom...

Picture of the family members...

And another picture of the family members...

Family members III...

And finally my moronic brother...

All in all it was a good dinner ler... taking into consideration that we're actually not well-off but who cares as long as there's the closeness between family members right?

Latest Life Updates...

Haha, first and foremost... an apology from me since I've been like 8 days away... or maybe more... Can't remember cause I'm calculating it through working days... Well, I took like 4 days off work... well, who could blame me for it right cause I'm not a local and moreover I have family and friends back home... And because of that I was demanded to submit a letter of absenteeism... So, here's a copy of it...

Dear Sir,

LETTER OF APOLOGY FOR ABSENTEEISM

I would like to hereby apologize for my absenteeism for the period of 3 days, starting from the 13th February 2007 until 15th February 2007.

2. The reason for my absence was because I had to go home earlier this year for
the Chinese New Year celebration. This is because my family hosted the reunion
dinner which is to be held on the eve of Chinese New Year this year and my relatives who is staying as far as England and also Australia would be attending the dinner which was held. Therefore, my parents have requested for me to go home to help out in the preparation.

3. Apart from that, my father, in particular, had also wanted me to attend a
prayer for
the coming Chinese New Year which was conducted on the 15th. Since I have not been attending the prayers for the past 3 years due to time constrain, I have decided to heel to my father’s request for me to attend the prayer at least this one time.

4. I would like to once again apologize for my absence and I do hope that I have
not caused much trouble on your behalf. I promise that the report which is assigned to me would be handed in on time. I would also like to thank you for your consideration, co-operation and time in reading this letter of mine.

Thank you.

OK-OK, I admit.... my reasons were rather lame but how do you think I should put it in a better way?

Should I go like. dear sir. I would like to apologize for my absenteeism cause I had to accompany my significant half for V-day? Even with my submission of letter, there was a lecture by the physician in regards to punch cards, work-loads and responsibility? (Erm, I also have a responsibility towards my parents also my close ones, right? =p Moreover, I do not have a punch card... double =p, =p)

Anyway, back to the story... I went back, and there was a blog in regards to V-day (please take a look at my previous post... will be updating with pictures soon)

Apart from that, nah... just the usual... spending more time in KL exploring whatever that is new in town... One things for sure I have sat on the Eyes on Malaysia... Well, if you're personally wondering what is it, it's just basically an over-sized ferries wheel with exorbitant ticket pricing located in the heart of KL... (location: Taman Titiwangsa)... As you know paying RM15 for a ferries wheel ride once could be a lil pain in the @r*e... Well, went during the night so there's nothing much to see unless of course there's a beam being projected onto the building... Other than that, I personally WOULD ADVICE U TO GO DURING THE DAY TIME... Here are some of the pictures being taken...

Malaysia current biggest ferries wheel "Eye on Malaysia" ticket priced at RM 15 (per ride)...

Taking another picture of the ferries wheel...

Look ma, "Bling! Bling!" Carriages...

And another picture taken before we were ushered to our carriages...

6 per carriage and since the other 4 Malay gurls were busy snapping pictures of scenery, themselves and their feet... T~T So we taught, why not ourselves?

And another for the blog entry...

Signs of Malaysia "faking it"?

V-day...

Erm, let me see what can I share with you bout what I actually did on V-day itself... Well, for a start, there's nothing much... Erm, just like every other couple... Took the significant half for a dinner at a restaurant which I had always dream of going but haven't had the chance so I took her there for the very first time (OK-OK, I admit, so that I have an excuse to be there as well)... Had a 5 course meal that caused a bomb... but I must say that the half done stick served at Victoria Station located at Jalan Ampang was kinda good... as the saying goes, it was all juicy and succulent... came together with a lobster served with melted cheese... Haha... at least it's worth the amount of money I paid for ler (if not I'll definitely be crying my heart away) but I must say that the service was kinda bad and rather slow that night... Erm, then took a walk round KLCC park... Both of us exchanged our V-day gift after the occassion and I had to accompany her back(mid-way) as she is kinda not that fimiliar with KL road... Couldn't blame her ler as really the place which I'm living is full of road constructions... The only thing I regretted was how I wished I had more time to spend with her.... Anyway, that's all which happened during my V-day for 2007...

Was wondering between the both of us, who has a wider face length? (Very obvious, right? >.<)

The gifts...

So can anyone tell me what are these?

It's definitely the most 'ugliest' tiger and lion I've ever seen in my life...

Another round... so what are these?

Too ugly for it to be tigers, right? >.<

And finally a flying tiger as a wrist rest...

What makes a BLOG a popular read?

I was just wondering, what kind of factor makes a BLOG to become of an attraction... I have known a couple of few, such as XiaXue.com, Kenny Sia, Kinky Blue Fairy, Celeste Chen, Mizz Izzy, and Cheesie's Cheeserland.com - among all that I have listed... the only male owned blog which is kinda popular is Kenny Sia while the rest are all ladies... Maybe sex could be a major factor for BLOG popularity... well, among all the ladies blog, let us now venture into what and how their BLOG become popular... XiaXue become popular due to her petition of wanting to eradicate aerosole spray from Orchard Road which sparked war of words between her and Mia... Celeste Chen on the other hand made her blog through videos thus converting Blog to V-log... Mizz Izzy had her BLOG become popular overnight just because she posted some of her nude photo's on it while Kinky Blue Fairy become a major BLOG attraction as she is now seeing a celebrity... Cheesie's Blog had media coverage... Kenny's I have practically no idea... Maybe it's because of his constant post and wits in writing? SIGH... When will mine ever reach that kinda stardome without having to put my image into a state of jeapordy and without the help of celebrities? =p

DeMoNiX is still looking for the perfect formula to make his BLOG an attractive read...

DeMoNiX, you're wanted by Bank of Africa...

First it was Paul Soba, head of Accounts and Audit Department of Bank of Africa, Ouagadougou, then it was... Alhaji Ibrahim Omar, Bank of Africa (Annex), Bill And Exchange Department, Offshore Office, Ouagadougou, Burkina-Faso... What's next? Paula Malai Ali from a department of Bank of Africa?

Dear... i need your urgent response,

I am the head of Accounts and Audit Department of Bank of Africa, Ouagadougou .I decided to contact you after a careful thought that you may be capable of handling this business transaction which i explained below;

In my department we discovered an abandoned sum of $10.5m US dollars (Ten million, five hundred thousand US dollars). In an account that belongs to one of our foreign customer who died along with his entire family in 1998 in a plane crash. Since we got information about his death, we have been expecting his next of kin to come over and claim his money because we cannot release it unless somebody applies for it as next of kin or relation to the deceased as indicated in our banking guidelines but unfortunately we learnt that his supposed next of kin(his son and wife) died alongside with him at the plane crash leaving nobody behind for the claim .It is therefore upon this discovery that I and other officials in my department now decided to
make this business proposal to you and release the money to you as the next of kin(We want to present you as his business associate )to the deceased for safety and subsequent disbursement since nobody is coming for it and we don't want this money to go into the Bank treasury as unclaimed Bill.

The Banking law and guideline here stipulates that if such money remained Unclaimed after seven years, the money will be transferred into the Bank treasury as unclaimed fund. The request of foreigner as next of kin in this business is occasioned by the fact that the customer was a foreigner and a Burkinabe cannot stand as next of kin to a foreigner .We agree that 30% of this money will be for you as foreign partner, in respect to the provision of a foreign account, 10 % will be set aside for expenses incurred during the business and 60% would be for me and my colleagues. There after I and my colleagues will visit your country for disbursement according to the percentages indicated. Therefore to enable the immediate transfer of this fund to your account as arranged, you must apply first to the bank as next of kin of the deceased customer. Upon receipt of your reply, I will send to you by fax or email the text of the application. I will not fail to bring to your notice that this transaction is hitch free and that you should not entertain any atom of fear as all required arrangements have been made for the transfer.

I would want you to respond to my email immediately you read it for more details.

Hoping to hear from you immediately.
Yours faithfully,

Mr.Paul Soba.

Accounts & Audit Department,
Bank of Africa

Nb.also give me your telephone and fax numbers for easy communication with you.

I know that this letter may come to you as a suprise.I got your contact address from the computerized search when I was searching for a business partner.

My name is Alhaji Ibrahim Omar. I am the Bill and Exchange(assistant) Manager of Bank of africa,Ouagadouguo Burkina Faso.

In my department I discovered an abandoned sum of USD$9.300.000 (NINE MILLION THREE HUNDRED U.S.A DOLLARS). In an account that belongs to one of our foreign customer who died along with his family in a plane crash.

Since I got information about his death, I have been expecting his next of kin to come over and claim his money because we cannot release it unless somebody applies for it as the next of kin or relation to the deceased, as indicated in our banking guidelines but unfortunately we learnt that all his supposed next of kin or relation died alongside with him in the plane crash leaving nobody behind for the claim.

It is therefore upon this discovery that I and my decided to make this business proposals to you and release the money to you as next of kin or relation to the deceased for safety and subsequent disbursement since nobody is coming for it because I don't want the money to go into the bank treasury as unclaimed Bill. The banking law and guidelines here stipulates that if such money remains unclaimed after five years, the money will be transferred into the bank treasury as unclaimed fund.

The request of foreigner in this transaction is necessary because our late customer was a foreigner and a Burkinabe cannot stand as next of kin to a foreigner. I have agreed that 45% of this money will be for you as foreigner partner in respect to the provision of a foreign account.5% will be set aside for expenses incurred during the business and 50% would be for me, after which I shall visit your country for disbursement according to the percentages indicated.

Trusting to hear from you immediately.

Dear Paul and Alhaji Ibrahim Omar,

I tell you what-ler? Since you ppl so interested with the money I can help you create a ploy for your bank ler... Why don't you take Ibrahim and impose him as the next of kin while you be the officer in charge-ler? Then both of you can share the money from that plane crash victim (Feeling sorry for the poor fella if he's really alive since he's already HAM KAR CHAN and you PAI HEI SIONG THOI, translation: he's whole family perished and you make him into a subject) DUN SCREW AROUND WITH MY LIFE LER.... CHEERIOS~~~~ SUCKERS!!!!!!

What a screwed up day to be...

Well, I'm back in KL... arrived at around 11.30p.m. ... The bus ride took me nearly 5 hours (started at 6.30)... inclusive of a half an hour stop for break... It was kinda freaking cold as I was in my shorts and T-shirt (Next time do remind me to get something longer and thicker)... The day kicked off pretty bad, by the time I woke up for lunch (yes, and I ditch again...). Went out for lunch and I accidently bump into my group leader during lunch... She told me that the HOD (head of Department) wanted a letter for my absentism and I was figuring what for since I'm not punching any card and nobody's paying me for being in the ward... even so I'm just a med student and it's not like I'm already a qualified doc... even tough I'm not attending for ward rounds this few days doesn't mean I slack in my job... I took every opportunity to learn from it... I just need a little room to catch up with things back here in KL... DARN!!!! Anyway, my bad luck was then turn around... THANKS ABI FOR THE CARD OF YOURS!!!!! HAPPY V-Day to you too... Haha, do love you as a friend and you have been an excellent leader... =p If that's not all... my PC back in SP is in a total screwed up condition thanks to LOP.COM which is an ad-ware programme... So, here goes... TO LOP.COM!!!!! F*CK U AND UR COMPANY FOR THE PLACEMENT OF ADS AND AD PROGRAMME IN MY BROWSER AND I BET A FEW MILLION OTHER USERS TOO!!!!! REALLY PISSING ME OFF!!!!!

All set and good to go... Frankly, I can't wait to leave my daily hectic routine life schedule for a holiday...

A mag junkie...

Trust me when I say that I'm a totally fanatic mag junkie... cause I nearly collect all of the mags which comes out in your average month... (That is mag pertaining to men of cause... no, I don't read Cleo or Female and that sort of genre cause I'm straight)... So here's a lil introduction of the mags which I collect and why do I like the particular magazine which makes me wanna mag-shop...

For Him Magazine - FHM (Man's Mag)

And as the saying goes, "Men will always be men no matter how you look at it". Well, at least most of the male I know reads this mag... aside from the bar room jokes and also the true stories column... why would man wanna read a man magazine? To drool over the girls featured of course... Well, but that's not all it... at times also it's because of the fashion and also featured articles which we're interested in but as for me, I would most definitely give my 2 thumbs up for their jantan test. Cons? Well, I don't like FHM for only one thing... there's not enough local flavours in it...

Newman (Man's Mag)

I gotta say this but it's one of the best man's mag I ever read in my life... like it's content and layout... and why? Haha, maybe cause of it's shoots of the gurls which are more *ahem <---- Think you get my point here... compared to FHM. I'm still buying FHM today basically it's because it's the first man magazine that I ever own. Well, if you followed Newman's progress from the first copy itself... I would say it has proven itself as an outstanding magazine basically because it has undergone a very dramatic change compared to the olden days of it. I find that the column's featured are mich more applicable to our daily man's living... call me Neanderthal if you want to... Of the column's which I like best would be work/ money manual, coupling/ parenting manual, sex factor manual (Think this is the best column of all in the mag... call me a pervert once again if you want to), fashion, gadgets, and motoring... it basically cover's nearly every aspect of a man's life...

Plan B (Man's Mag)

Compared to FHM and Newman, I find Plan B somewhat different... It has less pictures in it and more writing and at first read you'll find it more of a sophisticated read which makes it much of an appeal for reading... Other than that I can't comment much as I have yet found the latest edition of it... Two things for sure, maybe it's either concentrated in the Klang Valley only or maybe worse... the company has already bankrupted... Anyway, it's one of the read which you should take note if you have a chance...

KLUE (Locality Mag)

And why did I define KLue as a locality mag? Well, it's because KLue is much more centred on the events which is held in the Klang Valley... not only that, the reason for me liking KLue it's because it has a far much superior photography portrays compared to any other mags on the market... aside from it, it also featured a lot of good stuff such as makan spots and also on local celebs... But what is most important is that this is the only local magazine which I have
much respect for as it has the nerve to feature the local art scenes such as music, movie, art... (you name it and I'm pretty sure they portrayed it... ) to put it on a higher level... Fashions featured by KLue is also of a more trendy kind compared to FHM and also Newman...

Shift (Automobile)

Here's a new edition to my monthly mag purchase... although shift is written in Malay... but I have opted to purchase it monthly due to the fact of it's superior product review and also technical column regarding a car's technical compartment.... apart from that, car's which are featured on shift also has it's modification listed, excellent for automotive modification enthusiast to pick up a point or two pertaining to automobile modification... Apart from that, ladies which are featured in this local car mag is also excellent least not must I say compared to Autoparts... =p

Autoparts, Malaysia (Automotive)

Another magazine about automobile modification... compared to Shift, Autopart if written in English and it's rather funky in the sense that it's not that too rigid in writing compared to Shift... (maybe it's because of it's line-up crew which consist of teenagers...) Compared to Shift, Autoparts features of local events such as X-tune and the coverage of it's contest is one which I really have my respect for... (Hey, if we don't support our local events... who will right?) Autopart has also product review, featured car's modification list and on top of that there's also a technical column for professional driving such as drifting for dummies which makes it better if compared with Shift... Haha, and you know what's the best part of all? It also provides contact for the featured covergurls for you gatal (itchy) fellas out there...

Well, guess this is the final entry... hope to keep you updated during CNY and if not I'll see you after that... Just do come back for more updates on my blog... CHEERIOS~~~~

P.S.: There goes all my money on magazine alone... T~T SIGH!!!!!!!
